Xiaomi is all set to introduce a new member in the Redmi family, Redmi 4 on November 4. Xiaomi posted a teaser image on Weibo which clearly shows that the Redmi 4 will be having 2.5D curved glass and chamfered metal edges. The Redmi 4 is an upgraded version of the popular budget phone, Redmi 3 which is currently being sold in India. Redmi 4 was also recently spotted on Chinese certification site TENAA. A recent leak also hinted that a cheaper version called as Redmi 4A is also expected to launch at the event.

Believing the leaks, it will be sporting a 5-inch Full-HD LCD IPS (1080p) display with 2.5D curved glass technology. It will run on a Qualcomm chipset with an octa-core CPU (Snapdragon 625) coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will be having an internal storage of 32GB and will be further expandable via a hybrid slot. It will feature a 13 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5 MP selfie cam.
It will be having a fingerprint scanner on the rear like Redmi Note 3 and will be backed up by a massive 4,100 mAh battery. It will run on Android Marshmallow (6.0) with company’s custom MIUI 8 software on top. It also features a metal unibody design with chamfered edges which makes it to look premium. And like any other Redmi device, this one also be having LTE with VoLTE support.
Pricing and Availability
Since this device isn’t launched yet, its tough to say about the availability as of now. As far as price is concerned, it is going to be bit expensive compared to its predecessors and will be sold for CNY 1,300 (INR 13,000 approx). It will be available in Gray, Silver and Gold color options. The cheaper and lower-end version of this model, Redmi 4A may also be launched on same day or maybe after few days with cheaper price tag.
