Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo announced two new smartphones Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus in China today. These are two new flagship devices of “X” series. The dual front camera setup makes these two devices special and interesting. Apart from this, they sport impressive specifications and a premium looking metal unibody design. However, the design of both devices looks inspired by the new Apple iPhones. The Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus come in Gold and Rose Gold colors. Vivo X9 is available for pre-order in China from today.
Vivo X9 Specification
The X9 sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display with really slim bezel (1.59mm). It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 Soc coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It has got 4GB of RAM and comes in either 64GB or 128GB of internal memory option. Camera optics include 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF,LED flash and a 20MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.0 aperture coupled with secondary 8MP front camera.
It is a Dual SIM device with connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, type-C USB. It has got a Fingerprint scanner and runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 on top of Android Marshmallow (6.0). It is backed up by a 3050mAh battery and supports fast charging. It is really slim at 6.99mm and weighs 154 grams. It has also got a 3.5mm audio jack with AKM4376 DAC for enhanced audio experience.
Vivo X9 Plus Specification
The X9 Plus sports a 5.88-inch Full-HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 653 Soc coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. It has got 6GB of RAM and comes in either 64GB or 128GB of internal memory option. Camera optics include 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF,LED flash and a 20MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.0 aperture coupled with secondary 8MP front camera.
Connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. It has got a Fingerprint scanner and runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 on top of Android Marshmallow (6.0). It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. It has also got a 3.5mm audio jack with ES9018 and ES9603 DAC for enriched audio experience.
Price and Availibilty
The Vivo X9 is priced at 2798 yuan (Rs. 28,000 approx) for the 64GB version and the 128GB version costs 2998 yuan (Rs. 30,000 approx) and is available for pre-order in China from today. However pricing of X9 Plus has not been revealed yet but Vivo said that it will reveal the X9 Plus pricing on December 26th.
