LeEco And Coolpad To Bring New “Cool” Smartphone With Snapdragon 821

Earlier this year LeEco and Coolpad together announced Cool 1 with dual camera setup at CNY 1,099 (INR 10,990 approx). The duo is coming together with a new flagship smartphone called “Cool”. This new smartphone has gone through TENAA and hence reveals some of its key specification. The specification of this phone is quite similar to the Le Max 2 which is currently being sold in India. Even the design of this phone looks inspired by Le Max 2.

LeEco Coolpad Cool Specifications

It sports a 5.5 inch Full-HD IPS LCD display and is powered by the latest flagship chipset, Snapdragon 821. It comes in two RAM options, 4GB and 6GB. Internal memory options include 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB and most probably there won’t be any storage expansion option. Camera optics includes a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter.

cool1There is a Fingerprint Sensor located at the rear and is backed up by a massive 4,000mAh battery. It runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with some custom UI on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Dual SIM, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Type-C USB and USB OTG. Color options include gold, white, silver, blue, and black. The phone will be sporting a full metal unibody construction.

The design looks quite similar to Le Max 2 or OnePlus 3 with fingerprint sensor on back as evident from the pictures. There’s also a camera bump on the back like OnePlus 3 which can be  annoying for some people. It also retains a sleek form factor all around and is curved at the corners with chamfered edges. Overall the design looks quite premium and eye-candy.

Price and Availability

There is no official word on the launch or anything about this phone so its tough to guess the pricing or launch date. Although it seems like LeEco and Coolpad soon be launching this device in China.
