When Xiaomi launched Mi MIX in October, smartphone world was taken aback by the nearly bezel-less display of Mi MIX. It is also worth noting that it is the costliest phone ever launched by Xiaomi. Unfortunately, it didn’t hit Indian shores due to myriad of reasons. Nevertheless, it is one of the few phones that anyone would love to own. Thankfully, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to launch downgraded version of the phone named MI MIX Nano.

Mi MIX Nano Specifications:

As per leak by a Chinese tipster, Mi MIX may feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 90% screen-to-body ratio. Bear in mind, with a whopping screen-to-body ratio it will be no bigger than 5.2-inch phones. On hardware front, it may be supposedly powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and Adreno 530. The leak didn’t insinuate anything about 6GB version of the phone.

On the software side of things, it runs on MIUI 8 built over Android 6.0, Marshmallow. However, we expect it to be launched with Android 7.0, Nougat, out of the box.

The phone may be priced at CNY 3000 ( approximately Rs. 30,000). With an affordable price tag, we expect Xiaomi would launch Mi MIX Nano in international markets especially in India. If that is the case, this phone may change the face of the mid-tier market where innovation is hardly visible.
