Reliance Jio GigaFiber To Offer 600 GB 15 Mbps Internet At Rs. 500

Reliance Jio is the latest revolution happening in the Indian market right now. After revolutionizing the telecom segment a few months ago, the Indian conglomerate is gearing up to offer high speed fiber broadband access across the country. Called Jio GigaFiber, you can get as much as 600 GB of data at just Rs. 500 per month.

Jio GigaFiber Data Plans Revealed

After fighting the incumbent operators in the mobile services segment, Reliance Jio is setting itself up to take the fight to companies like Airtel in the broadband segment as well.

The Jio GigaFiber broadband service will offer high speed broadband packages with very adequate data allowances. If we go by the latest leak of the data plans and packages, you can get 15 Mbps of fiber broadband speeds at just Rs. 500. This broadband plan will offer you a monthly allowance of 600 GB. This is at least 6 times the amount of data that is being offered by major Internet Service Providers for plans with similar speeds.

Here is a quick overview of the Jio GigaFiber broadband plans.

Reliance Jio GigaFiber Broadband Plans

As part of its entry level plans, Jio GigaFiber will be offering plans across three different speeds – 15 Mbps, 25 Mbps and 60 Mbps. You get plans ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000.

If these speeds are not enough, you can check out other high speed Jio GigaFiber broadband plans below.

Reliance Jio GigaFiber Broadband Plans

While ISPs like ACT, Excitel etc do offer high speed broadband plans, we are yet to see plans with speeds greater than 200 Mbps. That being said, these plans do look a little odd. While you can supposedly get 2000 GB of data at 50 Mbps, a limit of 300 GB in the 600 Mbps plan just seems very odd. Not just that, as speeds increase, the data limits continue to decrease.

For the moment, we suggest you to take the above broadband plans with a pinch of salt.

Reliance Jio GigaFiber Availability

Note that Jio GigaFiber is currently in testing phase in Mumbai and Pune. There have been rumours and reports that Reliance Jio will bring its broadband service to other cities from December 15th. However, we should know more in the next few days.
