Coolpad Launches Note 3S and Mega 3 In India Starting At Rs. 6999

Coolpad India has recently launched Note 3S and Mega 3 in the country at an event in New Delhi. The Coolpad Note 3S is the successor of Note 3, which was launched in last October while the Coolpad Mega 3 is the successor to the Coolpad Mega 2.5D.

Powering Note 3S is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor, accompanied with a 3GB RAM and 32 GB expandable storage and continues to offer a 5.5-inch HD display. The 13 MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5 MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and fixed focus take care of the photography and video needs of the consumers while the overall weight of the phone is 167 grams.

Available in Gold and White color options, the Note 3S features a 2500 mAh battery which might be a matter of concern for the company when compared to the competitors like Lenovo K6 Power or Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

Coolpad Mega 3 Specifications

Talking about the Mega 3, the curved back, titanium and aluminium alloy gives quite a plush feel and just like Note 3S it also features a 5.5-inch 720p HD display with a screen-to-body ratio of 73.5 percent. Coolpad Mega 3 has three SIM slots along with one microSD card slot and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor which is clocked at 1.25 GHz.


Camera duties are handled by an 8 MP camera on both the sides with front camera offering wider 80.1 degree field of view. The phone is packed with a 3050 mAh battery, which is quite decent in the segment.

Pricing And Availability

Talking about the prices of both the newly launched smartphones, the Note 3S is priced at Rs 9,999 and the Mega 3 comes at a sticker price of Rs 6,999. Both these phones run on Cool UI 8.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with 4G LTE support.

For now, the smartphones will be available through Amazon India and the sale will commence from December 7.
