Press images of Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 has revealed almost every information about the upcoming tablet. The soon to be launched device will come with 8 GB of RAM, Intel Core M3-7Y30 processor and a large 8290mAh battery. Speaking of price, the base variant of the Mi Pad 3 having 128 GB storage will cost 1999 Yuan (Rs. 19,599 or $289 USD approx.). The flagship tablet will come with Windows 10 preinstalled. So far there is no info about any Android variant.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 Specifications
Coming to the specifications, the Mi Pad 3 is going to be a power-packed device. The latest 7th generation Intel Core M3-7Y30 CPU will breathe inside the tablet. The dual core, four thread processor, runs at a maximum clock speed of 2.6 GHz each and sports 4 MB cache. The visuals shall be handled by the brand new Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU running at up to 900 MHz. This will be combined with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of onboard storage.
The Mi Pad 3 will come with a similar 9.7-inch display of its predecessors having a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. However, the screen quality is likely to be improved. Guessing by the internal hardware, Xiaomi’s upcoming tablet is surely going to be quite powerful indeed. Talking about software, the Mi Pad 3 will run Windows 10 operating system with no mention of Android or dual OS.
Exterior-wise, the forthcoming tablet shall rock a metal construction. It will feature an impeccable thinness of just 6.08 mm and weigh just 380 grams. The tablet shall sport a stereo speaker set-up placed on either side of the USB Type-C port at the bottom. Coming to the camera, the Mi Pad 3 will get a 16 MP rear unit along with an 8 MP selfie shooter. The rear snapper will also get a dual tone LED flash.
A massive 8290mAh battery will juice up the upcoming tablet. The Mi Pad 3 will come in two colour options namely gold and silver. However, more colour variants may be announced later. The tablet will feature basic connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Type-C USB, etc. Unfortunately, there is no mention of any cellular connectivity. A new magnetic keyboard is also rumoured to be announced alongside the next generation Mi Pad.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 3: Price and Availability
Speaking of pricing, Xiaomi has managed to keep its usual value for money proposition. The 8 GB / 128 GB Mi Pad 3 is expected to cost 1999 Yuan (Rs. 19,599 or $289 USD approx.), while the 8 GB / 256 GB version may be priced at 2299 Yuan (Rs. 22,499 or $330 USD approx.). So far, there is no solid info regarding availability. We presume that Xiaomi will release the Mi Pad 3 in China soon, after which it may arrive at countries like India, Singapore, etc.
