Chinese OEM Coolpad has sent out invites to the launch of a new smartphone in India. The company has not revealed a lot of details in the invite, but we could be looking at the launch of a upper mid-range or a high end smartphone from the company. Coolpad also posted a tweet teasing the upcoming launch. Reports suggest that Coolpad could be launching a phone it has built in partnership with LeEco.
Coolpad And LeEco Rumoured Phone Launch
While the company did not mention the phone that will be launched on December 28, multiple sources have revealed that we could see a “Cool” series smartphone being launched at the event. LeEco and Coolpad have partnered on multiple phones by now – Cool 1 Dual, Cool Changer 1C and Cool S1.

Cool1 Dual Specifications
The Cool1 Dual comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. The phone features a 2.5D curve display and comes with a pixel density of ~401 PPI.
The Cool1 Dual is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and comes with 6 GB RAM, 32 GB / 64 GB internal storage.
It also features a dual camera setup with two 13 MP sensors on the back, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual LED flash. On the front the phone sports an 8 MP camera.
Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS are also present. The phone is powered by a 4060 mAh battery.
Cool Changer 1C Specifications
The Cool Changer 1C was launched in November with a 5.5 inch full HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Snapdragon 652 processor. The phone comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
The phone features a 13 MP rear camera, dual LED flash and a front facing 8 MP camera. Other features include dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS support. It is powered by a 4060 mAh battery.
Cool S1 Specifications
The Cool S1 is a high end smartphone, featuring a 5.5 inch full HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Snapdragon 821 processor. The phone comes with up to 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
On the imaging front, it comes with a 16 MP rear camera with PDAF and dual LED flash. On the front, it has an 8 MP camera. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 4070 mAh battery powers the phone.
