Google & RailTel Bring Free Wi-Fi To 100 Railway Stations in India

Google started Free WiFi service at Mumbai Central this year in January. They targeted to provide this free service to 400 railway stations in India. They aimed to bring this service to at-least 100 railway stations by the end of this year. This initiative by the company has been really beneficial for the people, specially for the travelers at the railway stations. In last few months the company has covered many major railway stations of India and has provided them with free WiFi facility. They introduced this free service to a new railway station on this Thursday.

This Thursday Google announced Free WiFi service to the 100th station, Udhagamandalam (Ooty) with its collaborative effort with RailTel. By this announcement Google has achieved its target for this year. After achieving their first milestone, Google is now looking forward for its next target and that is to provide this free WiFi service to 300 more railway stations in India. Company also introduced Google Station which gives partners a simple established resources to roll-out Wi-Fi hotspots in public places.
