Nokia 8 Specifications

The Nokia 8 will come with a 5.7″ Quad HD IPS LCD display. The device will be launching with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, similar to the Nokia 6.

HMD Global is said to be readying two variants of the flagship Nokia 8. The high end version will come with the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU. The second variant will come with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and Adreno 530 GPU. It is said to come with 4 GB RAM.

There will be more than just SoC differences between the two variants of the Nokia 8. According to the video, the Snapdragon 835 variant will come with a 24 MP camera on the back. It will be assisted by Optical Image Stabilisation and Electronic Image Stabilisation. Nokia/HMD claim to have the best EIS implementation in the Nokia 8, but that remains to be seen. Nokia is also said to using Carl Zeiss optics, something that we used to see exclusively in Nokia devices in the past too.

The leaked video does not confirm the camera specs of the Snapdragon 821 variant of the device, however.

The device also comes with HRM which could be an indication of the presence of a heart rate monitor.

The Nokia 8 will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress next month, set to be held in Barcelona from February
