Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Teased Ahead Of Its Launch As Flipkart Exclusive

Gearing up to take the limelight again, Xiaomi has teased its upcoming smartphone, Redmi Note 4. Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 4 on January 19 and will be available as Flipkart Exclusive only for now. This has been confirmed through a video tweet by Flipkart confirming the device as a Flipkart exclusive.

The video featured Ravindra Jadeja and compared the phone’s compatibility with Jadeja’s skills. Just like Ravindra Jadeja, Redmi Note 4 is also a competent all-rounder, claimed by Xiaomi. The Note 4 has been described as lightning fast, stunning looks, incredible stamina and a complete package. The key highlight of the upcoming phone is its metal build and deca-core SoC, though the company might introduce another variant in our market.

The upcoming Note 4 features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 X 1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 401ppi. The phone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is operated by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled to Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. However, the Indian version is expected to feature an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The rear has a 13-megapixel camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. The front features a 5-megapixel camera with 85-degree wide angle lens.

The phone supports expandable storage via microSD and will feature a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. Connectivity options include GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, micro-USB and Glonass. The battery pack is 4100 mAh and the phone measures 151 mm X 76 mm X 8.35 mm (L X W X T). The phone weighs 175 grams and will be available in Gold, Grey and Silver colour options.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 also features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and an infrared sensor. In China, the phone is available in two options – 2GB RAM/ 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM/64GB storage. For Indian market, the same variants are expected.

Pricing And Availability

Though the company has not indicated anything about the prices yet but, it is expected that the 2GB/16GB variant will be tagged around Rs 9,000. The 3GB/64GB will be slightly higher in the price range costing around Rs 12,000. As stated above, the phone will be Flipkart exclusive for now.
