Gionee To Open 35 Premium Exclusive Service Centres In India

Gionee is going to open as many as 35 Premium Exclusive Service Centres in India within this year. The Chinese smartphone-maker has officially confirmed this via Twitter. The company has already inaugurated the first premium exclusive service centre in Jaipur.

Gionee has a decent network of service centres in the country. The upcoming premium facilities will serve as a benchmark in a country like India where customer service is pretty pathetic. With the new service centres, Gionee aims to provide a business class experience to its consumers. The premium service centres will have a dedicated product experience zones, showcase the extensive range of accessories, hold regular service camps, and enhance the brand image.

Currently, if you go to any smartphone service centre, it takes days if not weeks to repair your device. Gionee intends to massively expedite the entire procedure and offer an unmatched experience to its customers. Commenting on this, Hardeep Singh Johar, the Regional Director of Gionee India said, “We want to bring the waiting period during after sales support down from days to a few minutes.”

Unlike other Chinese brands like Xiaomi, LeEco, Lenovo, etc., Gionee sells its smartphones mainly through its offline partners in India. Till now, the company has sold more than 7 million handsets in the country eyeing to cross the 10 million mark. With the forthcoming premium exclusive service centres, the company will surely excel its target with ease.


Gionee even has plans to set up a manufacturing unit in India. The company expects to start producing in the country within just a couple of years. According to some reports, the plant will be located somewhere in the northern India. It is estimated to take up 50 acres of space and have a yearly yield of 30 million devices.
