Huawei achieved global outlook for itself by collaborating with Google to launch Nexus 6P. Ever since it has been on a roll by launching great devices like Huawei P9, Honor 8, Honor Magic, Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, etc. Now, the company is all set to launch its next offering, the Honor V9, which will be reportedly launched on Feb 21st in China.
Huawei Honor V9 Specifications
The Honor V9 is a unibody metal slab with a 5.7-inch IPS QHD HD display on top. At 1440 x 2560 pixels pixels, you get a pixel density of ~515 PPI. It runs on EMUI based Android 7.0 Nougat.
This phone is supposedly powered by a Kirin 960 SoC that has four powerful Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz . The processor is supported by Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. To put in perspective, it is the same processor used in Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro. It comes in two variants: 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
In the camera department, Huawei stuck to its routine of incorporating two sensors on the back. The phone may sport a Dual 12 MP + 2 MP camera setup with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual-tone) flash. On the front, it may feature a 8MP camera. It will be fuelled by a big 3,900mAh battery.
Honor V9 Release
As mentioned above, the V9 will be launched on Feb 21st exclusively in China. The most intriguing part of the release will be whether the phone comes with any water resistance capabilities or not. Based on the picture included in the invite for the event, we can infer it at least comes with IP63 rating. The tailored version of V9 will be released as Honor 9 for international markets.
