Samsung Galaxy S8 To Come In 5.8 Inch And 6.2 Inch Display Variants

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are the two most anticipated phones of this year. These two devices are going to be among the most powerful devices of this year, loaded with some cool new features. Most of the details of these devices has been leaked and there are little thing which we don’t know.

From picture to specification, every detail was leaked a few weeks back which shows that this device is going to be really powerful. Now there is a new leak about its display which says about its size, resolution and the panel used on it.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Specifications

According to the new leak, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8 inch quad HD (2560 x 1440p) Super AMOLED display whereas the Galaxy S8 Plus will feature a 6.2 inch quad HD (2560 x 1440p) Super AMOLED display. Both the devices will feature dual-edge curved display and will be come with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

 

Both the devices will be running on either Exynos 8895 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 depending upon the country and region. It will be having 4 GB or 6 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage (UFS 2.1) which will be expandable via SD card slot.


The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be featuring a 12 MP rear camera with dual pixel technology, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, Auto HDR and a 8 MP front camera with f/1.7 aperture. Camera app supports 4K and slow motion video recording.

The devices will run on the latest Android Nougat (7.0) with Touch-wiz UI on top. The Galaxy S8 packs a 3250mAh  battery and the Galaxy S8 Plus packs a 3750mAh battery with fast charging support.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC and 3.5 mm jack. On the security front the devices will come with a Fingerprint sensor and Iris scanner just like the Galaxy Note 7.

Release Date and Pricing

As of now there is no official news from Samsung about the launch date or the pricing. However it is expected that Samsung will launch both the devices somewhere around the second half of 2017.
