Refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note 7 To Be Sold In India Soon

It looks like Samsung cannot let go of the Galaxy Note 7 after all. The Korean giant is reportedly gearing up to start selling refurbished units of the Galaxy Note 7 in the Indian and Vietnamese markets. According to a report in a Korean publication, Samsung will refit the Galaxy Note 7 units with 3000/3200 mAh batteries and offer them for sale.

You may remember Samsung had to discontinue the Galaxy Note 7 due to widespread battery issues. These battery issues were causing phones to explode without any fault from the users’ end. After a thorough investigation, Samsung had concluded that it was indeed an hardware issue.

Originally, the Galaxy Note 7 was launched with a 3500 mAh battery, sourced from Samsung SDI among other companies. It’s worth noting that Samsung SDI is also a Samsung group company. The refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will come with a smaller 3000/3200 mAh battery, but the company that will be used is not known yet.
