[MWC 2017] BlackBerry KeyOne With 4.5 Inch Display, Qwerty Keyboard Announced

BlackBerry KeyOne has finally been announced at the MWC 2017, at Barcelona and is set to launch globally in the month of April 2017. BlackBerry has exited the device industry, transferring the brand license to Chinese smartphone maker TCL Communication. TCL unveiled the BlackBerry licensed phone at the MWC 2017 and the phone holds its old and gold physical keyboard that was one of BlackBerry’s identity.

The BlackBerry KeyOne comes with a 4.5 inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of  ~434 PPI along with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The phone has a solid build and possesses the hardcore look of a business phone, just what blackberry phones have always offered.

As far as other specifications are concerned, the BlackBerry KeyOne comes with Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. It has Adreno 506 as the GPU and the device comes with Android 7.1 Nougat as the operating system. The device comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD.

The BlackBerry KeyOne features a 12 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 8 MP as the secondary one. Both the camera holds the video recording abilities of 1080p@30fps. Camera features include phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama.


Talking about battery on the BlackBerry KeyOne, it has 3505 mAh battery which enables you to have a battery backup of little more than one day in a single time full charge. BlackBerry KeyOne has Quick Charge 3 which can take your battery levels from 0%-50% in half an hour.

Pricing and Availability

The BlackBerry KeyOne will be available globally by the starting of April 2017 and is expected to be priced at approx. RS. 36,000 to Rs. 37,000.
