As the IPL 2017 fever is on, Opera has rolled out an update for Opera Mini browser which includes Opera Cricket with few other minor new features. This is a pretty sweet update for all the cricket lovers out there. It will let you to keep up with all the live scores and will also tell you the details of the upcoming matches. The Opera Cricket feature covers IPL matches as well as International matches which are going on or are scheduled in upcoming days.
To enjoy this new feature you must upgrade to the latest version of the browser on the Play Store. This update is only available for Android users as of now but we expect that Opera will provide this update for others platforms too in coming days.
So to taste this new feature, first of all you must update your Opera Mini browser to the latest version from Play Store. As soon as you update your browser and launch it, you will see a “Get Started” pop up to activate the Opera Cricket feature.
As soon as you click the “Get Started” pop up, you will be directed to Opera Cricket. Opera Cricket has got basically two sections that are “What’s On” and “Results”.
The “What’s On” section basically shows the details of live matches and the upcoming matches of this month as well. It will provide final scores and live ball-by-ball commentary for selected big games as well. For the upcoming matches, it shows all the necessary details like timing, time left to start, Date, and Venue.
The “Result” section shows the result of all the recent matches including IPL and International matches. When you select the particular match result, it shows further detail in two part that is “Summary” and “Scoreboard”. Summary section covers the details like Man of the Match, Number of wickets won by, runs, boundaries, wickets, etc. The Scoreboard shows the run by run detail of every player of both the teams. Additionally it also shows the bowling details.
Apart from this update, Opera has also added Data Saving- Automatic Mode and News Notification Bar. Additionally Company has also added facebook notification bar, media downlaod panel, one-handed friendly video player, and etc features in previous updates.
