Vivo V5s Launched With 20MP Front Camera, 4GB/64GB Storage For Rs. 18,990

Vivo today launched an improved version of the V5 in India today. Named the Vivo V5s, the phone comes with a 20MP front camera along with Moonlight Flash for a very good selfie experience. The V5s also comes with dual SIM, 4G VoLTE support out of the box. Vivo has priced it at Rs. 18,990 and it comes in Crown Gold and Matte Black colours.

Vivo V5s Specifications

The Vivo V5s comes with a 5.5 inch HD resolution display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. At a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, you get a pixel density of ~267 PPI, which is quite low for a device that costs Rs. 18,990. The V5s runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with FunTouch OS 3.0 on top.

Powering the V5s is an octa-core Mediatek MT6750 chipset, with eight Cortex A53 cores. The graphics are handled by Mali T860 GPU. In terms of memory, the phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, with support for microSD cards up to 256GB.

Coming to the cameras, the Vivo V5s comes with a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a single LED flash. The rear camera is assisted by Phase Detection Autofocus. On the front, you get a 20MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and a Moonlight flash.


Other features of the phone include a fingerprint sensor, a hybrid dual SIM slot (micro + nano SIM / microSD card), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG. The phone is powered by a 3000 mAh battery.

The Vivo V5s also comes with a custom AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip for an enhanced audio experience.

Pricing and Availability

Vivo V5s has been priced at Rs. 18,990. It comes in Crown Gold and Matte Black colour options. The phone will be available on pre-order starting today. As for the sale, the Matte Black version will be available for purchase starting May 6th while the Crown Gold version will be available from May 20th.
