Honor 8 Lite With 4GB RAM, Nougat Launched For Rs. 17,999

Huawei‘s sub-brand Honor has launched a new mid range smartphone, Honor 8 Lite in India. This smartphone is the lite version of the Honor 8 and packs very similar specifications as the Huawei P8 Lite (2017) with few minor differences. This smartphone comes with 4GB RAM, VoLTE support, an octa-core chipset and a premium build.

Honor 8 Lite is priced at Rs. 17,999 and will be available in Blue and Black color variants. The Black color variant will be available from Friday via offline retailers while the Blue color variant will be made available later this month.

Honor 8 Lite Specifications

The Honor 8 Lite features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display with a 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by company’s own Kirin 655 octa-core chip-set clocked at 2.1 GHz and is paired  with 4 GB RAM. It comes with 64 GB of on-board storage which is further expandable up to 128 GB via hybrid card slot.

The phone comes with a uni-body design with metal frame on the sides and glossy 2.5D glass on the back. The back houses a Fingerprint sensor. The speaker on the device is located at the bottom.


The smartphone houses a 12 Megapixel camera on rear with auto-focus, f/2.2 aperture, and a single LED flash. On the front, the device houses a 8 Megapixel selfie camera with a 77-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 skin on top. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, FM, 3.5mm jack and a micro USB port. Sensors include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor. It weighs 147 grams and is quite slim at 7.6mm of thickness.

Pricing & Availability

The Honor 8 Lite is priced at Rs. 17,999 in India and will be offered in Black and Blue color variant. Where the Black color variant will be available at offline retailers from Friday, the Blue color variant will be made available later this month.
