Samsung has started to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Indian units of the Galaxy A5 (2016) (SM-A510FZDFINS) and Galaxy A7 (2016) (SM-A710FZDFINS). Apart from the new Android version, the official updates come with performance improvements and battery optimizations.
With this, it is clear that Samsung is putting genuine emphasis on its mid range smartphones. The Nougat update for the Galaxy A series brings the new user interface which currently prevails on flagship devices like Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Moreover, there are some honest performance boosts and battery life improvement too.

The latest firmware version updates the Android Security Patch in the Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016). The mufti-window functionality has been fine-tuned too, thanks to its native support in Android 7.0 Nougat. The newest update adds improvements to the settings menu. The 2016 Galaxy A5 and A7 also get the Samsung Pass feature.
To get the Android 7.0 Nougat in your Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017), go to Settings, then click on About Device option and search for available system updates. Make sure you are connected to the Wi-Fi while downloading the update package as it weighs about 1 GB in size. Additionally, do ensure that your phone has an adequate charge before you start the updating process.
Do not worry if you cannot see the Nougat update in your eligible device. New firmware versions are rolled out in phase-by-phase basis and it may take some time before it arrives at your phone.
