Meizu M5 Price Cut To Rs. 9,499 Two Days After Launch

Meizu had launched the M5 on May 15 for Rs. 10,499. Today, the company has announced that the device will now be sold for Rs. 9,499. This means that the Meizu M5 has received a price cut of Rs. 1,000 just two days after its launch.

The price cut may very well be in response to the launch of Xiaomi Redmi 4 in India yesterday. The Redmi 4 is also a budget devices and will be available in three variants.

Commenting on the price cut, Leon Zhang, South Asia Head, Meizu India said, “This Significant move has come as our endeavour to further uplift the excitement of Meizu fans to own our products through further incentivizing them.”

The Meizu M5 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with FlyMe OS skinned on top. The device features a 5.2 inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device comes with a 2.5D Curved glass. The display comes with a pixel density of ~282 PPI.


The Meizu M5 is powered by an Octa Core MediaTek MT6750 processor clubbed with Mali T860 GPU. The device comes with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

Coming to the camera department, the Meizu M5 comes with 13 MP primary camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, 5P Lens, f/2.2 aperture and dual LED flash. On the front, the device comes with a 5 MP secondary camera with 4P Lens and f/2.0 aperture.

The Meizu M5 is powered by a 3,070 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
