Meizu M5c With 2GB RAM, Android Nougat, 5″ HD Display Announced

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu today announced a new budget device, dubbed as the M5c. The Meizu M5c runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Flyme OS 6 skinned on top. While the company has announced that the device will be launched in India, we have no information regarding the pricing and availability of the device.

The Meizu M5c runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Flyme OS 6 skinned on top. The device features a 5 inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device comes with a pixel density of ~294 PPI.

The Meizu M5c is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core MediaTek processor clubbed with Mali T720 GPU. The device comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

Coming to the camera department, the Meizu M5c features an 8 MP primary camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 5 MP secondary camera. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated in the home button.


The Meizu M5c is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

Pricing and Availability

The Meizu M5c will be available in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, Mainland China, France, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Myanmar, New Zealand, Russia, Spain and Ukraine. Meizu has not announced the pricing and availability details. We will update you about it when we receive more information.
