Motorola Teases New Smartphone, G5s, G5s+ Expected To Launch Soon

Lenovo backed Motorola has recently teased a new smartphone in India as ‘Hello #Smarterphone’. With the new teaser, there are speculations in the market that the phone might a part of the Moto G5 series. The teaser was released on the company’s official Youtube channel where Moto India highlighted the screen, and speaker aspects. At the end of the video, the company also gave the message of ‘goodbye struggles’.

From the teaser, it can be stated that the smartphone will be competent on speakers and display front. The Moto C and C Plus are the two smartphones in the company’s lineup that are known for speaker and display quality. To bridge the gap in the Indian market, Moto is now bringing a phone in the G series. Called the G5s, it will be offered in two variants – the G5s and G5s Plus which will be the successors of G5 and G5 Plus.

The main highlight of the Moto G5s will be its dual camera setup at the back. According to speculations, a member of the Moto X series might also make its way to the Indian market as the X series smartphones were known for their loudspeaker built and sound quality. But, they were taken back off due to the introduction of Huawei Nexus 6P. However, the upcoming Moto X4 might feature front-facing stereo speakers to give on the par output.

The Moto X4 is expected to be the world’s second smartphone that will be equipped with 3D curved glass instead of 2.5D curved glass. The 3D glass indicates that the screen will be more curved. The only phone which has a 3D curved glass is the Huawei Honor Magic, which surely impresses the onlookers with its display. Moto X4 is likely to make its debut at the Computex 2017 in Taipei which is scheduled between May 30 to June. The Moto Z2 and Moto E4 are also expected to launch at the same time.


According to various rumors, the phone might be either from the G5 series of an updated Moto X. Let’s see what Moto puts in front of the consumers with its next launch.
