OnePlus 3T Officially Continues Selling In India, Discontinued Globally

OnePlus is finally going to pull the plug on the OnePlus 3T. Steven Gao, Head of Global E-Commerce and Sales Support of OnePlus has just announced this latest move in an official blog post. The popular smartphone maker had done the same thing with the OnePlus 3 too. Now, as the release date of the OnePlus 5 approaches, the company is discontinuing the OnePlus 3T.

Update: OnePlus India just confirmed that the OnePlus 3T will continue to sell in India, despite the global discontinuation. The company has done the same thing with the OnePlus 3 which is still available for purchase in the country. That too, with a Rs. 1000 discount. However, as the production of OnePlus 3 and 3T is being stopped, they won’t remain in stock for long.

According to the Steve G., OnePlus 3T is already out of production. There are only a few units left in the company’s warehouse. The OnePlus 3 and 3T are arguably the best smartphones of 2016. Even in 2017, they manage to put many flagship devices to shame in spite of costing almost half of them. So, if you are still waiting to buy the OnePlus 3T, act fast, or else you may not even get it.

However, Steve Gao clearly mentioned that this discontinuation would not have any effect on the software updates of the OnePlus 3 and 3T. Both the phones will continue to receive the updates and support they have been getting till now.

For starters, the OnePlus 3T is a flagship smartphone, which competes with high-end devices like Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, Motorola Moto Z, Xiaomi Mi 5, etc. The phone comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display. The powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset powers up the OnePlus 3T. This is mated with 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB internal storage. The handset has got an extraordinary 16 MP rear camera along with a 16 MP selfie shooter.

The OnePlus 3T sports a sleek metal unibody and easily qualifies as one of the best-designed smartphones of 2016. Connectivity-wise, the mobile supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, and other usual features. A 3400mAh battery juices up the handset. With these kind of top-notch specifications, the OnePlus 3T starts at a price of just Rs. 29,999.
