After the launch of Mi Home Store in Bengaluru and Redmi 4, Xiaomi India has now teased regarding another launch scheduled for India. The hint came from Xiaomi India Chief Manu Kumar Jain who told that the company is gearing up to extend its lineup for the Indian market. According to various speculations, the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 might be on cards for the launch.
The company conducts its exclusive flash sale for its every new product on 23rd of the month. We have witnessed the sale of Redmi Note 4 on January 23, which recorded 250,000 units in its first sale. The same number was recorded for Redmi 4A on March 23 and Redmi 4 on May 23. Now according to Manu Kumar’s official tweet, he has raised a question of what should be sold on July 23, which hints that a new product might be in-line for the launch.
Though Kumar has not mentioned anything about the phone but, as the Chinese market was recently greeted with Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi Max 2, which are missing in the Indian market.

The tweet suggests that it is time for either of the two entry in the market. The Xiaomi Mi 6i 64GB storage and 6GB RAM variant was launched at CNY 2,499 (Rs 23,500) while the 128GB storage and 6GB RAM variant was priced at CNY 2,899 (Rs 27,000). The Mi 6 Ceramic, which features a ceramic body, 18K gold-plated camera rims at the back and the Black color were priced at CNY 2,999 (Rs 28,000). The particular variant is packed with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Considering the Mi Max 2, it is also offered in two variants – 64GB and 128GB storage. The base variant with 64GB is priced at CNY 1,699 (Rs 16,000) while the 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs 19,000). Mi Max was launched in India last year around June at a big event in Delhi. Following the same footprint seems logical and increases the probability of Mi Max 2 more over the Mi 6.
