Reasons To Buy The Yureka Black
The Yu Yureka Black comes with a 5 inch full HD IPS LCD 2.5D Curved Glass Display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device comes with a pixel density of ~441 PPI. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It comes with a ~69.7% screen-to-body ratio.
While the Yu Yureka Black comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the company has informed that the device will soon be upgraded to Android 7.0.1 Nougat. Yu has kept the UI close to stock android and has not added any bloatware to the device.
The Yu Yureka Black comes with a 13 MP Sony IMX258 sensor with Phase Detection Autofocus and dual LED flash. The camera can record videos up to 1080p at 30 FPS. On the front, the device comes with an 8 MP secondary camera with an LED flash for improved low light selfies. This will definitely attract selfie lovers.
The Yu Yureka Black has been priced at Rs. 8,999 and comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The device has a premium look to it and is easily one of the best devices in the budget segment.
The Yu Yureka Black comes with 4G VoLTE support. Since Reliance Jio’s entry into the 4G market, support for 4G VoLTE has been in demand.
RAM and Storage
The Yu Yureka Black comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card. 4 GB RAM in a device priced at Rs. 9,999 is not common and its good to see that competition is improving standards in the budget segment.
Reasons Not To Buy the Yureka Black
The Yureka Black comes with the underpowered Snapdragon 430. The Redmi Note 4, priced close to the device comes with the Snapdragon 625 processor. Yu should have used a more power processor. It could have used the 625, Snapdragon 650 found in the Redmi Note 3 or the newly launched Snapdragon 660. Even though the device comes with 4 GB RAM, heavy games and multitasking may be an issue on the device.
The Yu Yureka Black comes with a 3,000 mAh battery. This seems like a compromise when devices such as the Redmi 4, Redmi Note 4, that are priced similarly, come with a much bigger battery. While a 5 inch display will reduce the battery consumption, a 3,000 mAh battery still seems small.
