Oppo R11, R11 Plus Announced With Snapdragon 660, Dual Camera

Oppo has officially unveiled the R11 and R11 Plus at an event in China. The premium mid range smartphones come with the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and dual camera setup. The Oppo R11 and R11 Plus would be available for purchase from tomorrow onwards in China. Unfortunately, Oppo hasn’t yet disclosed the pricing and will do the same on 10th June 2017.

Oppo R11 Specifications

The Oppo R11 comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED display. Externally, the phone rocks a metal unibody. The fingerprint scanner sits at the front, just beneath the screen. The handset packs the newly launched Snapdragon 660 chipset. The premium mid range SoC is loaded with eight custom-made Kyro 260 CPUs running at up to 2.2 GHz each. The Adreno 512 GPU is there for the graphics department.

Memory-wise, the R11 features with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Coming to the software, the smartphone runs on ColorOS 3.1 with Android 7.1.1 Nougat underneath.

Coming to the optics, Oppo’s latest device boasts a dual lens rear camera. It consists of a 20 MP sensor paired with a 16 MP one. This offers up to 2x optical zoom and a plethora of advanced features. The front camera is a 20 MP selfie snapper.


Speaking of the connectivity, the Oppo R11 sports all the usual options including 4G LTE and VoLTE. A 3000mAh battery juices up the device. There is support for VOOC 2.0 fast charging.

Oppo R11 Heat Red

Update: Oppo has just announced the pricing of the R11 along with a new heat red colored variant. The gold, black and rose gold models cost 2999 Yuan (Rs. 28,400 approx.) and the heat red Oppo R11 is priced a bit higher at 3199 Yuan (rs. 30,300).

Both the Oppo R11 and R11 Plus will go on sale in China on June 10, 2017. As of now, there is no news about their availability in India. Stay tuned, we will come back with the prices as soon as Oppo discloses them.

Oppo F3 Plus Gets Rs. 3000 Price Reduction

In the meantime, Oppo F3 Plus has officially received a Rs. 3000 price cut in India. Initially launched at Rs. 30,990, the phone is now available for Rs. 27,999. This makes it on par with the Motorola Moto Z2 Play or the OnePlus 3.
