Reliance Jio has made fresh offers for buyers of the new JioFi device and new Jio connections. The offers start from 2GB data per month for 12 months at Rs. 149; 1GB data for 6 months at Rs. 309, 2GB data per day at Rs. 509 and 60GB data for 4 months at Rs. 999.
The JioFi device itself costs Rs. 1,999 and with a JioFi, you need to buy a Jio Sim card as well. The activation of this SIM along with Jio Prime membership will cost Rs. 99. So these plans come with initial expenses.
How To Get 224GB Data With JioFi
First, you need to buy a JioFi device and a Jio Sim card. JioFi device allows multiple users and mobile devices to access Jio’s 4G high-speed internet connectivity and create a personal Wi-Fi hotspot. You can buy JioFi here.
After purchasing the device and activating the Sim card, you can choose between 4 different plans being offered by Reliance Jio.
JioFi plan options
The first plan for new JioFi users offers 2GB 4G data per month for 12 months validity at a recharge of Rs. 149. The regular Jio Prime members get the same 2GB per month data for Rs. 149 per month.
The second plan offers 1GB data per day for 6 months (28 days per month) at a price of Rs. 309. This implies that new users will get 168GB of data for 6 months at 1GB per day.
The third attractive offer gives 2GB 4G data per day for 4 months at Rs. 509. The existing Jio customers could avail only 168GB data for Rs. 509.
The fourth offer is for heavy internet usage and gives 120GB 4G data for 2 months (56 days). This plan does not have a daily usage limit. You simply get 120GB data for the offer period. This is not too lucrative as the existing plan for Jio users offers 120GB 4G data for 120 days at the same price.
Verdict
The data plans are indeed really attractive but the cost of JioFi device (Rs. 1,999) seems to be slightly expensive at first. Although JioFi is able to connect up to 10 devices at once, hence it could be a good and more portable replacement for your WiFi router.
With the attractive offers and portable JioFi, Reliance Jio seems to be taking the broadband market more seriously to compensate for its active users fall in last 4 months.
