Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Spotted With Snapdragon 835, Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website. The benchmarking app’s website had the smartphone listed as ‘Xiaomi MIX’. The listing confirms a 1.90 GHz Qualcomm processor and Android 7.1.1 Nougat on the Mi Mix 2.

Geekbench is an app for processor benchmarking and is widely used to benchmark devices. The Mi Mix 2 is seen scoring 1929 in single-core and 6431 score in multi-core test.

The specifications of Mi Mix 2 have seen an array of leaks. The recent listing on Geekbench shows some signs of confirmation for those specifications.

Talking about the build, Xiaomi CEO himself stated that the Mi Mix 2 would be designed by the same designer, Philippe Starck who designed the Mi Mix smartphone.


It is speculated to have a ceramic back featuring a fingerprint sensor on it, just like its predecessor, the Mi Mix. The Mi Mix 2 is also expected to have Acoustic earphone technology, which gives more space for the screen by eliminating the earpiece.

It is rumoured to sport a 6.4 inch IPS LCD panel with quad HD (2,560 x 1,440p) resolution. It is speculated to feature a 19 MP primary camera with LED flash and a 13 MP front facing shooter.

The performance segment of the phone may see a Qualcomm Snapdragon 825 Octa Core processor, clocked at much higher speed than shown in the benchmarking.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to come in 3 variants which can be 4GB RAM / 128GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM / 256GB storage. The variant listed on Geekbench shows 5725 MB memory, which translates to 6GB RAM

The Mi Mix 2 is rumoured to pack a 4,500 mAh non-removable battery with Fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device will come with 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It is expected to come with a USB Type – C port.
