Nokia 8 Appears Briefly On Official Site, Could Launch On July 31

HMD Global’s upcoming Nokia 8 smartphone was temporarily leaked on the company’s website. The leak shows the front of the device. The smartphone can be seen sporting a Home Button in the front, a blue-coloured body, and bezels at top and bottom.

After several previous press renders, the official site of Nokia in China has now given away the Nokia 8 details. The leak has also hinted at a possible launch date as well.

HMD Global is expected to launch the first Nokia flagship smartphone on July 31. Along with some earlier press renders and now on company’s official website, the upcoming device has become the talk of the town.

Nokia 8 Specifications

While the design of the device has been leaked fully now, the specs are still not fully confirmed.. The Nokia 8 is rumored to feature a 5.3-inch QHD display on the front. The phone is tipped to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The leaks also confirm a front-mounted Fingerprint Sensor and LED Notification light on the Nokia 8.

It is expected to sport a metal body and a vertical dual camera setup at the back. Both the cameras will be 13MP and will be of Zeiss branding the same brand that was seen in earlier Nokia phones. It is confirmed after the announcement of HMD Global and Zeiss partnership earlier this month. The front camera of 13MP is also expected.

If talk about the hardware, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset is expected to power the device. Also, the Nokia 8 is supposed to pack 4GB/6GB of RAM and internal storage expected to be around 64GB/128GB. Also on the battery front, we may expect a big around 4,000 mAh non-removable battery on the phone.

Pricing and Availability

Although there is no confirmed leak about the pricing of the phone. But earlier, a Scandinavian retailer has claimed that the Nokia 8 will be priced at €589 (approximately Rs 43,415). The Nokia 8 will arrive in four colors including Blue, Steel, Gold/Blue and Gold/Copper.
