BlackBerry KEYone is finally launched here in India. The smartphone was ranked as the best pick of MWC 2017, where it was first introduced. The BlackBerry KEYone comes with a 4.5-inch touchscreen with 4-row QWERTY keyboard.
The device promises more than 26 hours of battery with a 12MP main camera and 2TB microSD card support. It comes with latest Android 7.1 Nougat and secured by BlackBerry‘s in-house DTEK security monitoring app.

Build and Display
In terms of Build quality, the BlackBerry KEYone comes with a soft textured back and an aluminum frame. It also packs an impact-resistant display. The KEYone has a front-mounted Fingerprint sensor, integrated into the space bar on the keyboard.
Coming to the display, the BlackBerry KEYone has a 4.5 inch display with a resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of ~434 PPI. It features Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. At the bottom of the display, the phone features on-screen navigation buttons.
The KEYone features a physical 4-row QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard has added functionalities like shortcuts. You can press ‘B’ to access the browser, or you can swipe left-right or up-down to scroll through content on the display. It also supports touch gestures and the fingerprint sensor is embedded in the spacebar.
Camera and Hardware
In the camera department, we have a 12MP Auto-focus large pixel camera at the back. It can record up to 4K resolution videos and comes with EIS. On the front, we have an 8MP fixed-focus camera with f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree wide angle lens.
BlackBerry KEYone packs a powerful hardware under the hood. It has a Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor, clocked at 2.0 GHz, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. With this processor, we get 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM and up to 2TB expandable storage on the KEYone.
Performance, Battery, and Connectivity
Running on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat, the BlackBerry KEYone is protected by DTEK security from BlackBerry. The phone is promised to come with Best-in-class security updates. We also get the BlackBerry Hub on this phone, which collates all your messages from various apps at one place.
On the battery front, the BlackBerry KEYone comes with a 3505 mAh battery with Boost Charging. With this battery, you get more than 26 hours of continuous use and 50% charge in just 36 minutes.
For connectivity, the KEYone uses the latest USB Type-C 3.1 port, NFC, Bluetooth, and WiFi. It is a 4G enabled handset and comes with a 3.5mm earphone jack.
The BlackBerry KEYone is a security and accessibility centered device. The launch also showcased slides about losses caused in the smartphone industry because of Cyber Attacks. BlackBerry is focussing this phone on the security centered audience.
With an inbuilt DTEK security system and regular security update promise from BlackBerry, the KEYone will be one of the safest device present in the market.

The BlackBerry KEYone is available in a limited edition black color at a price tag of Rs. 39,990. The device will be available from 8 August as an Amazon Exclusive.
