Micromax Canvas Infinity With 18:9 Infinity Display Leaked

New leaks have surfaced around Micromax’s upcoming flagship smartphone range. It is rumoured that the company has named it as the Micromax Canvas Infinity Range. The upcoming Infinity Range comes with Infinity displays, bearing 18:9 aspect ratio.

Sources suggest that the devices in the Infinity range will be launched in India by the end of August this year. The leaked image tells some key points about the upcoming Canvas Infinity.

Micromax Canvas Infinity range

Talking about the upcoming Micromax Infinity Range, this device can be an affordable alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S8. The device is reported to come with an infinity display bearing 18:9 aspect ratio, similar to the Galaxy S8.

The devices in the Micromax Canvas Infinity range are expected to feature 5.7 inch displays with minimal bezels. In the leaked image, we see one of the Micromax Canvas Infinity range devices, placed next to a Samsung Galaxy S8.

Judging by the image, The Micromax device looks taller than the S8. The bezels are clearly visible but we expect the phone to be sleeker. The on-screen navigation buttons indicate that the device may come with Android 7.0 Nougat.

Coming to the build of the phone, we can see that the device sports the Volume Rockers and Lock Button on the right side of the display. Also, a USB Type-C port is visible.

What is 18:9 ratio?

The 18:9 aspect ratio was first introduced by LG under the name of FullVision display. After LG, Samsung managed a similar feat, coming up with an Infinity display. Micromax now will become the first Indian manufacturers to switch to 18:9 aspect ratio.

The benefits of 18:9 aspect ratio is mainly the way it distributes screen space. While using multi-window mode (which now comes standard on Android 7.0 Nougat), we can tell that 18:9 aspect ratio gives users an evenly distributed and wider screen space to both the apps.
