Hike Messenger has acquired Creo, which is a smartphone and Media Streaming Dongle making start-up. Creo is credited with the creation of Mark 1 smartphone and Teewe, an HDMI Media Streaming Dongle.
Creo was started by Sai Srinivas Kiran G, and Shubham Malhotra, both of whom have previously worked for Hike. The deal has been locked for an undisclosed amount and the objective behind the deal is also unknown.
Creo After The Deal
Since Hike has acquired Creo, the hardware manufacturer is expected to manufacture certain equipment for the Instant messaging service provider. Hike has lately updated the hike messenger to support video stories.
If you open the Creo website now, you will find a note addressing that the company is shutting down making new smartphones and Media dongles. This indicates at Creo’s acquisition by Hike to result in the creation of a new hardware.
Since the amount involved in the deal is undisclosed, we cannot determine what the deal is aimed at.
