Samsung’s Galaxy A series devices, the Galaxy A7 (2017) and the Galaxy A5 (2017) have received a price cut in India. The Galaxy A7, which was earlier priced at Rs. 30,900 is now available for Rs. 25,900, and the Galaxy A5 which was available for Rs. 26,900 is now priced at Rs. 22,900.
With a revision and price cut to their Galaxy A series, Samsung smartphones are also available for a reduced price. So far, many companies are directly or indirectly slashing their smartphone prices as the new wave of phones is inbound.
Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 Specifications
Starting with their USP, both the Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) were introduced with IP68 water and dust resistance which makes them durable and dependable smartphones. The cameras of both these phones are also optimized for low light photography.
Coming to the bigger Galaxy A7 (2017) first, you get a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. In terms of camera, the Galaxy A7 offers you a 16MP rear as well as 16MP front cameras, both with f/1.9 aperture and low-light optimization.
The Galaxy A7 (2017) packs a 1.9GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7880 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The phone has a dedicated SD card slot too. Running on Android OS, the Galaxy A7 is powered by a 3,600 mAh battery with Fast Charging.
The smaller Galaxy A5 (2017) offers you a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. The phone features the same 16MP rear and front cameras as the Galaxy A7. The A5 also gets you the same processor as the A7, including the same 3GB RAM & 32GB ROM combination. A significant difference is that the A5 packs a smaller 3,000 mAh battery.
Pricing and Availability
After their price revision, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is available for Rs. 25,900 and the Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at Rs. 22,900. Both phones are available from Samsung online store in Black and Gold color variants.
