In a bid to increase its presence in the offline market, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is going to open its fourth Mi Home Store in the country in Delhi-NCR on 19 August. The store is located at Second Level, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. It will be the biggest Mi Home Store in the country.
Pre-bookings to buy Xiaomi phones from the store have already begun on mi.com/in. You need to pay Rs. 999 to pre-book Redmi Note 4 or Mi Max 2. You can then collect it from the store on 19 August in the desired time slot. Bear in mind you can only pre-book one phone per model. Moreover, on completing the purchase, Xiaomi will give away an assured gift of worth Rs. 599 to the buyers.
Commenting on the store launch, Manu Kumar Jain, VP of Xiaomi, said:
“We started building our offline business aggressively from Q1 2017. We have a three pronged strategy for the same which involves our Large Format Retailer partners, Mi Preferred Partner stores, and our own Mi Home stores.”
“Via our three pronged strategy, we believe we are a truly integrated company when it comes to implementing our O2O strategy (Online to Offline and vice versa). We help direct traffic from our online channels such as mi.com to our offline channels and direct the traffic back to mi.com from our offline stores,” he added
The store caters the needs of people who love to experience the gadget before purchasing it. Apart from smartphones, air purifiers, VR headsets, fitness bands, power banks, smart devices, and accessories will also be available at the store.
Apart from the Mi Home stores, Xiaomi is also rapidly expanding its offline presence. Xiaomi has been partnering with retailers to create ‘Xiaomi Preferred Stores’. It is worth noting that the Chinese smartphone maker earlier made the Redmi 3S Plus an Offline exclusive.
