At the launch of Coolpad Cool Play 6, Coolpad has confirmed the launch of Cool S1 Changer in India this Diwali. The Cool S1 Changer will come with complimentary Harman Kardon Headphones. First introduced at MWC 2017, the Cool S1 Changer features a 5.5 inch display with a Snapdragon 821 processor.
Launched in China in December last year, the Coolpad Cool S1 Changer was introduced outside China in February earlier this year. At the launch of Cool Play 6 in Dubai, Coolpad has scheduled the Indian launch of Cool S1 Changer in India for Diwali.
Coolpad Cool S1 Changer Specifications
Starting with the display, the Cool S1 Changer comes with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display, giving you a pixel density of 401 PPI. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LeEco‘s EUI 5.8 on top.
On the hardware front, you get a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at 2.35 GHz, paired with an Adreno 530 GPU. This device is available in 3 RAM and storage variants that are 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The Cool S1 Changer comes with up to 256GB storage expansion option as well.
In terms of imaging, the Cool S1 Changer comes with a 16 MP rear camera. It is assisted by Phase Detection Autofocus and a dual LED flash. The rear camera supports 4K video recording. On the front, you get an 8 MP camera for selfies and video calling.
Other features of the phone include a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and high quality Harman Kardon Clari-fi audio support. It does not come with a 3.5mm audio jack – you will instead have to use USB Type C headphones with the Cool S1 Changer.
Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone comes with Quick Charging support and is powered by a 4070 mAh battery.
Harman Kardon Headphones
From the house of Harman, the Kardon headphones are wireless over-the-ear headphones. Originally priced at $249 which is approximately Rs. 15,958. These Kardon headphones will come with the Coolpad Cool S1 Changer in India.
Pricing and Availability
As for the pricing of the Coolpad Cool S1 Changer, the company revealed that the 6GB + 64GB version will cost 369 Euros, which translates to roughly Rs. 26,000 or about $390. The 6GB + 128GB version has been priced at 469 Euros, which is roughly Rs. 33,150 or $500.
Although the accurate prices will be out on Diwali, we can anticipate the phone to receive certain hardware updates and a close price to the amount listed above.
