Meizu has announced its next smartphone which will be positioned in the mid-range segment. Yes, the M6 Note has been announced at an event held in China. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved glass, similar to its predecessor. The smartphone will be upgraded on the performance front as Meizu has switched to a Qualcomm processor instead of a MediaTek chipset.
Not only this, the smartphone is also improved on the imaging front as the rear features a dual-camera setup comprising a 12MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP sensor to capture the depth information.
The company has also included advanced noise reduction and HDR algorithms from ArcSoft which will improve the picture quality to a significant extent. The home button is quite quick as it can unlock the phone in merely 0.2 seconds. The all metal body and a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support further improves the phone’s capabilities.
Meizu M6 Note Specifications
The Meizu M6 Note comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 2.5D curved glass display and 1000:1 contrast ratio.
Powering the phone is a 2 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU for graphics. Further coupled to it is 3GB RAM with 16GB/32GB storage while there will be another variant with 4GB/64GB storage, further expandable via a microSD.
The M6 Note will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Flyme OS 6 and supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano +nano/ microSD). Camera duties include a dual camera setup with 12MP + 5MP sensors with features like dual-tone LED.
The front has a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), and Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. The overall dimensions of the phone measure 154.6 x 75.2 x 8.35 mm and weighs 173 grams.
Pricing And Availability
The upcoming Meizu M6 Note will be offered in Black, Gold and Blue colour options and will be priced at CNY1099 yuan for the 3GB RAM / 16GB storage version, CNY 1299 for the 3GB RAM / 32GB storage version and the CNY 1,699 for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage version. The device will be available in China starting from September 2.
