From its incorporation as GoldStar in 1958, LG has evolved into a global brand, covering a whole range of products, including consumer electronics and appliances. After introducing their first OLED Television back in 2013, the company has today reached the top spot in the US Consumer Report.
With a highest score of 89 points, various models of LG television have captured the top 13 spots in the US Consumer Report’s 25 top TV models. Not only this, LG has a market share of 40.8% in the premium television market, displacing Samsung.
Repeating a Success Story
LG OLED TVs have received the highest consumer report scores, 5 times in a row now. The LG Signature OLED TV W received the highest total of 89 points this year. Other high scores by LG OLED TV’s include last year’s OLED 55 E6P scoring 84 points, then the 65-inch E6 scoring 85 points, and the 65-inch and 55-inch C7 scoring 88 points.

LG Televisions in Europe
Not only in the USA, but LG is also on a spree to capture more and more praise across Europe. LG Electronics and the premium TV market
As clearly implicated by the immensely positive reviews and results of Consumer Report, LG is now the top player in the Premium TV market. The global premium TV market includes the televisions which cost more than $2,500.
LG Electronics’ TV business branch, HE Division has managed to capture 40.8% share in the premium television market. According to Market Analytics by IHS, 2,18,000 LG OLED TVs were sold in the first quarter of 2017, which is 86% more than the units sold last year in the same quarter.
