Taiwanese company Asus has announced two new 2-in-1 laptops and a classic laptop at IFA 2017. While the ZenBook Flip 14 and ZenBook Flip 15 are 2-in-1 laptops, the VivoBook S14 has been launched as a classic laptop.
While the ZenBook Flip 14 is claimed by Asus to be the world’s thinnest 2-in-1 laptop, the ZenBook Flip 15 offers display choice between Full HD or 4K options. The VivoBook S14 also offers good specifications at a competitive price. All three laptops come with minimum bezels around the display.

Well, these laptops feature a sleek look with minimal bezels and some unique feature of their own. So let’s get to the full specifications of the new laptops from Asus.
Asus ZenBook Flip 14
Featuring an all metal unibody, the Asus ZenBook Flip is the world’s thinnest 2-in-1 laptop. With just 13.9mm thickness and 1.4 KG weight, it features a 14-inch NanoEdge bezel display with 80% screen-to-body ratio. The laptop also features Harman Kardon audio for quality sound.
In terms of hardware, the Asus ZenBook Flip 14 comes with up to 8th Gen Core i7 Intel processor coupled with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD hard disk. The 2-in-1 comes with Nvidia MX150 GPU and preloaded Windows 10 Pro.
With Asus Pen support and Windows Ink Workspace, the Asus ZenBook Flip 14 packs a 57whr battery for 13 hours of usage with Fast Charging (60% in 49 minutes). Other features include a Fingerprint Scanner, microSD card slot, USB 3.1 port, HDMI port, and USB Type-C port with WiFi for connectivity.
Asus ZenBook Flip 15 Specifications
The bigger Asus ZenBook Flip 15 comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD or 4K display options with 360-degree rotation and touch screen. With its NanoEdge bezel display, you get minimum bezels with maximum screen size.
In terms of hardware, the Asus ZenBook Flip 15 packs an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, coupled with up to 16GB RAM and 2TB HDD or 512GB SSD. With NVIDIA GTX 1050 graphics, the Asus ZenBook Flip 15 promises twice faster performance as compared to the previous model.
For connectivity options, you get Thunderbolt 3 port, Asus Pen support, a USB Type-C port, and WiFi. This variant is also powered by Harman Kardon audio for refined sound quality.
Asus VivoBook S14 Specifications
While the ZenBook Flip laptops are 2-in-1, the Asus VivoBook S14 is a standard laptop. It sports a 14-inch NanoEdge Bezel display with 18.8mm thickness and 1.3KG weight, it offers 74.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Packing the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, the VivoBook S14 gets up to 16GB RAM accompanied by a NVIDIA GeForce MX150 GPU. It is an affordable laptop with good specifications.
Pricing and Availability
While these 3 products for the ZenBook and VivoBook lineup are just announced, availability is yet to be confirmed. The smaller ZenBook Flip 14 is priced at $953 (approx. Rs. 61,000) in Icicle Gold and Slate Gray colors.
The ZenBook Flip 15 will come in Smoky Gray and Pure Silver colors with a price tag of $1,072 (approx. Rs. 68,600), and the Asus VivoBook S14 will be priced at $475 (approx. Rs. 30,400).
