Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer Asus has recently sent out invites for the launch of their ‘Latest ZenFone series’. We expect this to be the ZenFone 4 series, which includes multiple devices such as ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie, ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, ZenFone 4 Max and ZenFone 4 Max Pro.
While this is the complete ZenFone 4 series lineup, it is expected that Asus will first launch their selfie-centric portfolio here. A recent tweet from Asus included the hashtag #DitchTheSelfieStick. It hints that the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro are most likely to launch here.
Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Specifications
Starting with the ZenFone 4 Selfie, you get a 5.5-inch IPS LCD panel with full HD resolution. The screen comes with a 2.5D curved glass. A 16MP primary camera with dual tone LED flash sits at the back. A 20MP + 8MP dual camera setup with selfie flash is available for selfies.
In terms of hardware, it packs a Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. This combination is accompanied by 4GB RAM, 64GB Internal memory, and up to 128GB expansion option using microSD card.
The Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie runs on Android 7.0.0 Nougat with ZenUI 4.0. A 3,000mAh battery is there along with Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G VoLTE, and a 3.5mm earphone jack.
Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro Specifications
Coming to the pro variant, you get a 5.5 inch AMOLED panel with full HD resolution and a 2.5D curved glass. In terms of camera, the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro gets a 16MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera with soft LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and a secondary wide angle lens.
The ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro gets a hardware bump as well. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU. This combination is backed by 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and 128GB expandable memory using a microSD card.
Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro comes with ZenUI 4.0 on top. Powered by a 3,000mAh battery with Fast charging support, the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro gets Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G VoLTE, and a 3.5mm earphone jack as standard connectivity options.
Pricing and Availability
The overseas model of the Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie is priced at $279 (roughly Rs. 17,800) while the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is available for $379 (roughly Rs. 24,200). The Indian price should be out on September 14 when these phones are launched in India.
