Samsung Galaxy C8 with dual rear cameras launched in China

Samsung has announced its latest smartphone in China, dubbed as the Galaxy C8. The Galaxy C8 appeared on the company’s Chinese website ahead of its launch and it revealed its specs. The latest phone is said to be the Chinese version of the Galaxy J7+.

It packs the same specs as Galaxy J7+ which officially launched in Thailand earlier this week. Similar to J7+, the Galaxy C8 has its dual camera setup at the back with Live focus and the dual app support feature as its highlights.

This is another phone from Samsung with a dual rear camera setup and Live Focus after the Galaxy Note 8. The phone comes in Gold, Black, and Pink color options. It will go sale in China very soon. However, there is no information about its pricing.

Samsung Galaxy C8 Specifications

The new Galaxy C8 features a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner underneath the home button. Coming to the specifications, it features a 5.5 inch full HD Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The Galaxy C8 is powered by a 2.39GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P20 processor coupled with Mali T880 GPU. Memory wise, it comes in two variants 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. Internal storage is expandable up to 256GB with microSD.

If we talk about the highlighted camera department, it has a 13MP primary rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and along with a 5MP secondary camera with a f/1.9 aperture to capture depth information. There is an LED flash as well and a new live focus feature similar to the Galaxy Note 8, which allows you to blur the background in real-time. There is a 16MP front camera with LED and screen flash and f/1.9 aperture for better selfies in low light.

The phone houses a 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and more. Another highlight of the new Galaxy C8 is its Bixby Home app.

The latest phone from Samsung might be only China exclusive. However, it has also launched the phone in Thailand as Galaxy J7+, so any of the models could make it to India also. Meanwhile, Samsung is all set to launch its flagship the Galaxy Note 8 in India on September 12.
