Vivo X20, X20 Plus launched with Full View display: Specs and price

Vivo has launched its latest smartphones, the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus in China. Following the current trend, the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus smartphones feature Full View displays with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and dual camera setup at the back.

The only differences between the two variants are in the display size and the battery. Vivo has priced the Vivo X20 at CNY 2,998 (Rs. 29,500 approx.) while the X20 Plus comes with a price tag of CNY 3,498 (Rs. 34,400 approx.). The smartphones will be available for pre-orders starting September 22 and will go on sale from September 30 in China.

Vivo X20 and X20 Plus Specifications

Coming to the specifications, the X20 features a 6.01-inch Full View Super AMOLED display with full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution in 18:9 aspect ratio. The X20 Plus features a bigger 6.43-inch display with same pixels and aspect ratio. Both the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus are dual-SIM smartphones that run on FunTouch OS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Coming to the main feature, there is rear dual camera setup on both X20 and X20 Plus. Both the devices come with a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 5MP sensor. At the front, the handsets feature a 12MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies.


Talking about the hardware, both the handsets are powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with 4GB of RAM. Both the smartphones come with 64GB of internal storage, which is further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

In terms of dimensions, the X20 measures 155.85×75.15×7.2mm and the X20 Plus measures 165.32×80.09×7.45mm. The X20 weighs 159 grams while the X20 Plus weighs 181.5 grams. Connectivity options on both the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus include 4G, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, OTG, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS among others.

Both the phones have a fingerprint sensor on the back and feature unibody metal design. Also, they come with new AI function which offers customized services. The Vivo X20 houses a 3245mAh battery while the X20 Plus variant comes with a larger 3905mAh battery.

Pricing and Availability

The X20 is priced at 2998 yuan (Rs. 29,500 approx.) and the Vivo X20 Plus is priced at 3498 yuan (Rs. 34,400 approx.). The Vivo X20 and X20 Plus have been launched in Matte Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color options.

These will be available for pre-order from September 22 and will go on sale in China from September 30. There is no information on the availability of these phones in other markets.
