Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2 launched: Features, price and more

Further extending its range of products in the local market, Xiaomi has recently launched its Mi Bluetooth Speaker Basic 2. It features a compact body that encloses dual speaker unit that offers higher fidelity sound and weighs just 237 grams.

It is finished with a matte aluminum frame, a soft white face and chamfered edges. It also comes with AUX-in port that is available for connecting other devices and lack Bluetooth support. It comes with hands-free calling and lets you accept calls just by pressing the power key.

The speaker from Xiaomi is compatible with Bluetooth 4.1, Android and iOS. It comes with a built-in microphone for handsfree support. The frequency response ranges between 100 Hz and 18 kHz with maximum power output rated at 2.5w x 2 that can deliver HD sound. It comes with single AUX-in port and has a matte aluminum frame with dimensions reading as 154.5 X 60 X 25.5 mm and overall weight as 227 grams.

Fueling it is a 1,200mAh battery that offers up to 10 hours of music playback. The Basic 2 also holds the capability of noise cancellation and comes with integrated microphones. With this, it can even be used with Siri and Google Assistant via smartphone, which is quite different in the respective segment.


Pricing And Availability

Xiaomi has offered its Mi Basic 2 speaker in only White color options and priced it quite smartly. It will be available from mi.com at a sticker price of Rs 1,799. Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director and Vice President earlier confirmed through its Twitter handle about the launch of Mi Basic 2 Speaker and finally, the company has announced it in the festive season.

Xiaomi is currently hosting its ‘Diwali with Mi’ sale that will go up to September 29. The company is offering a number of deals on smartphones that include Mi A1 and other accessories. There is also Rs 1 flash sale, bid to win contest and fastest fingers first that will soon take place. Some of the lucrative offers include Rs 2,000 off on Redmi Note 4, up to Rs. 1,500 off on Redmi 4 and Mi Band-HRX edition at Rs. 1,299.
