Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 renders leak: Specs, features and more

Just one day to go for their launch and we have freshly-leaked renders of the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2. Google’s 2017 flagship smartphones, the Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel XL 2 are set to launch on October 4 along with some other products.

Fresh leaks from leakster Evan Blass showcase the Google Pixel XL 2 in two different images. The first one is with a case on and the other one shows the phone’s 18:9 aspect ratio display and the entire front. Here is what to expect from this year’s Pixel flagships.

Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 Specifications

Google Pixel 2

This year’s Google flagship devices are expected to keep a similar profile to last year’s devices. While the Pixel 2 is expected to bear the standard 16:9 ratio, the Pixel XL 2 will take it with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Google Pixel XL is expected to sport a 4.97 full HD panel while the Pixel XL 2 might get a 5.99 inch quad HD panel.

While no major leaks are there about the optics, the hardware on the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 is all over the web. Expected to pack a Snapdragon 835 processor (since there is an alleged delay in Snapdragon 836), the Google Pixel 2 will be made by HTC while the Pixel XL 2 is to be manufactured by LG.

Recent reports also point at two storage variants with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage options. The dual front speakers are clearly visible in the latest leaks so we can assume that Google has rid the Pixel 2 of the earphone jack. Both phones are to run stock Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

While the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 launch will be the showstopper, there are other devices that are also expected to be unveiled along them. Google Home Mini, a small smart speaker is one of the highlights along with this year’s Pixel smartphones.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 launch is scheduled for October 4th. It will be broadcast live on YouTube. You can register here to know more.
