Honor 7X spotted on GeekBench: Specs, features and more

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei’s next smartphone, the Honor 7X has got some fresh leaks just ahead of its launch. Speculated to launch on October 11 in China, the Honor 7X has been spotted on GeekBench.

Said to be the successor of the Honor 6X, the Honor 7X is expected to come in two RAM variants. We may get to see the smartphone in 3GB/4GB RAM along with 64GB onboard storage. Alongwith 4GB RAM, the GeekBench listing shows Android 7.0 Nougat as the OS.

As per earlier leaks on Weibo, the Honor 7X will feature a 5.5 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is expected to come with a full-metal body and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The optics are expected to be handled by a 12MP dual-camera setup at the back. Now, this setup may be an optimized application of the setup from the 6X.

Coming to hardware, the Honor 7X is tipped to come with a Kirin 670 octa-core processor. The chipset in GeekBench listing has got a single core score of 909 and a multi-core score of 3,159. The listing also shows the smartphone to come with 4GB storage. Earlier leaks suggested two RAM variants i.e. 3GB/4GB along with 64GB onboard storage.

In terms of software, the Honor 7X is shown to be running Android 7.0 Nougat. Just like all Honor smartphone, this one shall also come with the latest EMUI 5.1. The EMUI is Honor’s optimized user interface for their smartphones.

Talking about battery, the phone is tipped to be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. Among other specifications, a USB Type-C port is also rumoured to be there. Other connectivity options may include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3.5mm earphone jack.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor 7X is expected to launch in China at an event on October 11. The smartphone was earlier tipped to come at a price of 1,799 Yuan (roughly Rs. 17,700). We will keep you updated with the availability of the Honor 7X.
