Xiaomi has also introduced it’s Mi Noise Cancelling USB Type-C Earphones in India along with the Mi Mix 2. The earphones are priced at Rs. 2,999. It is a Hi-Res audio certified earphone which draws power from the phone through the USB Type-C port and features active noise cancellation.
Earlier yesterday, Xiaomi launched its new flagship Mi Mix 2 in India. To recall, the Mi Mix 2 does not have a 3.5mm audio jack. Xiaomi India in its tweet said, “In addition to that [Xiaomi Mi Mix 2], we’ll also be launching Mi Noise Cancelling Earphones in India at ₹2,999 soon! #MiMIX2”.
Xiaomi Mi USB Type-C Earphones features
The USB Type-C earphones from Xiaomi are compatible with high-resolution audio and come with a braided cord that has in-line controls. The cable is made of the high elastic material, TPE, which is a non-toxic and environment-friendly material. In theory, these earphones should be sturdier than regular earphones due to the materials used.
These USB Type-C earphones have a metallic body with an iron acoustic architecture. When the active noise cancellation is enabled, it can suppress noise above 25dB with a frequency range between 50 and 2000 Hz. It also uses micro-electromechanical noise reduction microphone module that accurately blocks the environmental noise, according to the company.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Noise Cancelling USB Type-C Earphones are priced at Rs. 2,999 in India. The earphones are expected to go on sale along with the Mi MIX 2 later this month on Mi.com and Flipkart.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2
After a long wait, Xiaomi finally brought its Mix series of smartphones in India today, with the Mi Mix 2. The new bezel-less smartphone from Xiaomi sports a 5.99 inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The Mi Mix 2 has been priced in India at Rs. 35,999.
