South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has silently launched the Galaxy J2 (2017) in India. This is the 2017 variant of the budget device and comes with a Super AMOLED display. The device has been listed on the company’s website but there has been no announcement so far.
While the listing on Samsung’s website reveals the specifications of the device, there is no information about the pricing and availability of the device. However, a Mumbai based offline retailer, Mahesh Telecom has revealed that the device will be priced at Rs. 7,390.
Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) runs on Android OS. The company has not mentioned which Android version the device comes with. It features a 4.7 inch qHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
The Galaxy J2 (2017) is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core Exynos processor clubbed with 1GB RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes with 8GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Coming to the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) features a 5MP primary camera with a CMOS sensor along with an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 2MP secondary camera for selfies and video calling.
The device is powered by a 2,000mAh battery which the company claims will provide up to 12 hours of talk time. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz,
