Xiaomi starts rolling out stable build of MIUI 9 to Mi Max 2 and Mi 6

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi was planning to roll out the stable update of its MIUI 9 from November 2 in India. However, it appears that the update is now rolling out ahead of the company’s planned schedule. Some Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 smartphone users have already started receiving the MIUI 9 Global Stable update.

Xiaomi had recently announced that the MIUI 9 stable update will start rolling out in India from November 2. In a series of tweets, Xiaomi is hinting at some of the features of MIUI 9 with a #LightningFast hashtag. The update will bring many new features and optimizations to Xiaomi devices.

MIUI 9 Global Stable Update

The MIUI 9 stable update is of around 568MB in size. Currently on the Xiaomi Mi 6, MIUI V9.0.1.0.NCAMEI firmware version is being rolled, while on the Mi Max 2 MIUI V9.0.1.0.NDDMIEI is the firmware version that is being rolled out.

Xiaomi had already rolled out the MIUI 9 Global beta update in a testing stage and also the Stable ROM to select Mi users in China earlier this month. The company is expected to roll out the stable ROM update in batches, just the way it rolled out the beta version.


Xiaomi, however, delayed the rollout of the MIUI 9 stable update by around three months. MIUI Marketing Deputy Director, Huang Longzhon has announced that the stable version is normally rolled out within two months of releasing developer version, but since MIUI 9 is completely a new system, so it has taken more time to roll out the stable version.

To recall, Xiaomi launched its MIUI 9 back in July. The latest version of MIUI comes with some new features and a lot of the existing features have also been improved. The company said that it would be rolling out the latest MIUI update to 35 devices over the course of a few months.

Some of the new features include deep-level system optimization, new icons, and new animations for launching and closing apps etc. Also, there are features like split-screen, search for apps in the mode of the Dual app and improved blocklist rules, but not all of these features will be available for all devices.

As of now, there is no information about the rollout of this MIUI 9 Global Stable update to other Xiaomi users. Since the Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 are the latest phones from Xiaomi, so it understood they have got the update beforehand. located. However, we will see which phone will get the stable version of the update on November 2. The company has also scheduled a launch event in which it will introduce a new selfie-centric smartphone series.
