Flipkart to launch its own dual camera phone on November 15

After selling other company’s phones on its platform for years, Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has now decided to bring its own smartphone. The company is launching its first smartphone on November 15 dubbed as Billion Capture +. The sale of the phone will start on the Flipkart on November 15 itself. There is no word on its pricing as of now.

If we talk about the highlight features of the phone, Flipkart seems to be touting it as a camera focused phone which is also suggested by its name and it sports a dual camera at the back. Moreover, the phone runs stock Android Nougat. The company has posted a teaser on its website with a hashtag #CaptureIndia and it also reveals some of the features of the phone.

Flipkart Billion Capture Plus Specifications

Flipkart didn’t clearly mention the specifications of the phone, however, the company has revealed some of the features from which we can speculate the features of the phone. The Billion Capture Plus features a full HD display. Interestingly Flipkart’s phone will be running stock Android. The company show in the teaser the phone will run on stock Android Nougat.

If we talk about hardware there is no information available. The company only teased that it will pack a superior processor for multitasking. Similarly, there is no clue how much RAM and storage it will have, however, the company is offering unlimited cloud storage with the phone.


In the camera department, which is also the highlighted feature of the phone, there is a dual camera setup at the back. There is a LED flash along with camera module and fingerprint sensor placed below it. At the front, it sports a single selfie camera. It is not clear yet what are the specs of the cameras. However, some of its features are, a super night mode and the dual camera will offer Bokeh effect as well.

The Billion Plus is supposed to have a big battery with fast charge support. The company has been shown in the teaser “Hours of battery with minutes of charging”. Moreover, there is a USB Type C port for charging.

There is no further information available about the phone’s other features and pricing. We will get to know more about the device when the phone is unveiled on November 15.
