Honor 7X with 18:9 6-inch display, dual rear cameras launching in India soon

Huawei sub-brand Honor has announced the arrival of their Honor 7X here in India as an Amazon exclusive. The Honor 7X packs premium features like dual cameras, 18:9 aspect ratio, and mid-range specifications.

The successor of the Honor 6X, the Honor 7X was launched last month in China. Since it is already available overseas, we know the specifications of the phone. It will sport a 5.93-inch display, a Kirin 659 processor, and will be backed by 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage.

Expected to be the next budget offering from Huawei, the Honor 7X comes with a 5.93-inch full HD+ (2160 x 1080p) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. In terms of optics, you will get a 16MP + 2 MP dual camera setup at the back with LED flash. A front-facing 8MP unit is there for selfies and video calling.

On the hardware front, the phone is packing a Kirin 659 octa-core processor paired with a MaliT830-MP2 GPU. This processor is complemented by 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options. There is also expansion options up to 256GB using a microSDcard.


Running Android 7.0 Nougat, the Honor 7X comes with the Honor’s EMUI 5.1. The Emotion UI is the latest user interface from Honor. The EMUI gets frequent updates so your Honor phone is up to date with the Android updates. This phone will be a dual SIM 4G VoLTE smartphone.

Backed by a 3,340 mAh battery, it should be able to last a full day of moderate usage. The standard connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS, Micro USB port, and a 3.5mm earphone jack with DTS Audio and Active Noise Cancellation.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor 7X is selling in China at a price of 1,299 Yuan, which roughly translates to Rs. 12,800. In India, the phone will come as an Amazon exclusive. We will update the exact price and availability when the phone is up for sale.
